Pilot admits flying drunk

A helicopter pilot giving rides to children during last year’s Suffolk Peanut Fest has pleaded guilty to felony child neglect and reckless operation of an aircraft for flying while drunk.

As reported by WVEC, police recorded a BAC of .116 for Florida pilot Ronald Davis.

As part of the plea deal, Davis agreed to serve up to two months in jail and he cannot fly for the next five years. He had to relinquish his pilot’s license before leaving jail following his arrest. He’ll be sentenced in November.
