A contractor faces a sexual harassment lawsuit filed on behalf of former female employees who say they were subjected to inappropriate sexual comments, propositions and gestures.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says it has sued Richmond-based Daniel’s Heating and Refrigeration, alleging its male owner repeatedly harassed Robin Jenkins and other female employees who subsequently resigned from 2004 through 2007.
The commission filed the last week in U.S. District Court in Richmond. The suit seeks unspecified damages, an order requiring Daniel’s to adopt policies and practices addressing past harassment and a permanent ban on such offenses in the future.
