Eva Teig Hardy, retired executive vice president of Dominion Resources and former Virginia cabinet member, has joined McGuireWoods LLP as a senior policy advisor and consultant. She will be based out of the firm’s Richmond office.
Hardy worked in public policy and corporate communication at Dominion for 18 years. She also served as Secretary of Health and Human Resources in the administration of Gov. Gerald L. Baliles and as Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry under Virginia Gov. Charles S. Robb.
At McGuireWoods, Hardy will work with Jim Kerr, a partner at the firm and chair of the energy policy practice, which was launched earlier this year.
Kerr came to the firm after serving as a member of the North Carolina Public Utilities Commission and was the former head of NARUC (National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners). Hardy will use her experience and work with the firm’s attorneys in offering clients a multi-faceted approach to handling complex energy matters, although she will not represent clients in a legal capacity.
