Titsworth v. Howard Brothers Inc.
Type of Case: Automobile crash
Court: Caroline County Circuit Court
Attorneys: Steven M. Frei, Laura J. Johnston, Reston
Summary: Plaintiff began having seizures three months after the van in which he was a passenger was rear-ended by a large pickup truck owned by a corporation. A neurologist testified that the seizures were caused by the collision and would continue because they could not be controlled by medication.
Defendant contended that he was not negligent because the van stopped suddenly in front of him and argued that the plaintiff’s seizures were in fact fainting spells unrelated to the crash. The case was resolved pending appeal.
