Summary: The vehicle driven by the 17-year-old plaintiff, an honor student, football player and wrestler, was knocked over the side of a mountain by a tractor-trailer that crossed the median into his lane of travel near Coeburn in Southwest Virginia.
Plaintiff suffered cognitive impairment from a closed-head injury and is incapable of gainful employment. He also has scarring on his head, face, back, chest and leg and likely will have to have hip replacement and ankle fusion. His medical bills totaled $509,000.
