Summary: Plaintiff, the operator of a Roll-On truck loaded with demolition debris, was directed to a spot in the Lorton landfill to dump his load. The trailer of another truck loaded with debris jammed and became unbalanced when the driver attempted to dump his load.
The trailer tipped over directly onto the cab of plaintiff’s truck. He suffered broken ribs and a crush injury to his right foot. He underwent 15 surgeries to repair his heel and foot, and he still cannot walk normally after more than two years of treatment.
Plaintiff incurred $425,000 in medical expenses and asserted $900,000 in future wage loss
