Type of Case: Impotence caused by “all natural” male sexual enhancement product
Attorneys: Thomas B. Shuttleworth, Paul D. Merullo and Lawrence H. Woodward Jr., Virginia Beach
Summary: A 27-year-old man bought a product advertised as an “all natural” male sexual enhancement product at a convenience store. The “all natural” product was in fact a generic form of the drug Cialis, and a 36-hour erection restricted the blood supply to the plaintiff’s sexual organs and caused permanent damage.
The convenience store chain and commercial sellers of the Chinese-made product settled their cross claims as part of the resolution of the personal injury claim.
