The Greenbrier Hotel Corp. has filed for Chapter 11 protection in the U.S. bankruptcy court in Richmond, but hopes to continue operations without any changes, according to a company news release.
The popular West Virginia resort seeks approval of a plan that would transfer its assets to Marriott Hotel Services, Inc. with near-term operations financed by $50 million from CSX Corp., the current owner of the resort. There are significant contingencies on the deal, including negotiation of favorable union contracts.
As near as we can determine, Donald Trump has nothing to do with the plan.
