  1. They were just beginning mediation and ADR classes when I was in law school 15 years ago. The classes were wonderful but lecture-style and not interactive. It sounds like the classes are progressing into interactive training tutorials. It is great to see! Preparing ti advocate for a client at mediation and negotiating for your client at a mediation are learned skills, to learn the various techniques and theories while still in law school will give these students a real boost for post-graduation jobs. A expertly negotiated mediation can be as satisfying for a litigator as a trial.
