Two women were injured in 2004 when the vehicle in which they were passengers was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer.

Jane Doe, 55, suffered a late-diagnosed mild traumatic brain injury with seizure disorder, dizziness and balance problems, fatigue and sleep difficulty and significant cognitive deficits.

The symptoms of plaintiff’s pre-existing attention deficit disorder were exacerbated by the brain injury. The accident also caused neck and knee pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and other orthopedic injuries. As a result of the accident, she was unable to continue working at her part-time job. Her case was settled for $2,100,000.

Rhonda Doe, 43, also suffered orthopedic injuries and a mild traumatic brain injury with relatively mild cognitive deficits.

She was able to compensate for many of her injuries and deficits and functions at a reasonably high level. She has maintained her job in an executive position. Her case was settled for $1,100,000.
