The Virginia Beach commonwealth’s attorney’s office has hired two new prosecutors: L. Diane Nelms as senior assistant commonwealth’s attorney and Sally-Ann Kass as assistant commonwealth’s attorney.

Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commissioner William L. Dudley Jr. has been elected chairman of the commission for a three-year term effective July 1.
Ronald R. Tweel of Michie Hamlett Lowry Rasmussen & Tweel in Charlottesville was recently selected into the American College of Family Trial Lawyers.
Christopher M. Gill of Christian & Barton has earned the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) designation from the Green Building Certification Institute.
John M. Cooper of the Virginia Beach law firm of Shapiro, Cooper, Lewis & Appleton has been appointed to serve as designated legal counsel for the Transportation Communications International Union.
