Judge hospitalized after crash

Franklin County General District Judge George Jones is being treated after being involved in a car crash this afternoon in Rocky Mount, reports The Franklin News-Post .

A county medical director told the paper that Jones appeared in “critical condition” after the crash.  An eyewitness account suggested Jones may have been stricken while driving his car, prior to the crash.

UPDATE:  Jones, who suffered an apparent cardiac arrest before the crash, was listed in good condition Thursday evening, reports The Roanoke Times.
