We should note that, by letter dated Dec. 22, a social security official finally responded to Billman's series of complaints about ALJ Swank. The letter states that Billman's complaints about Swank's actions have been referred to the Appeals Council to be considered and addressed separately in the Appeals Council's final disposition for each case.

The letter goes on to say, "Your allegations will be looked into by appropriate Social Security Administration officials and suitable action, if warranted, will be taken."
