On Nov. 5, a Virginia State Bar Fifth District-Section I subcommittee issued a public reprimand with terms to McLean lawyer Kelly R. Dennis for violating disciplinary rules that govern competence, diligence, communication and conflict of interest. The violations occurred during representation in matters involving creditors’ collection efforts against Dennis’s client. According to the VSB, this discipline was an agreed disposition of misconduct charges against Dennis.

On Dec. 1, a Virginia State Bar Sixth District subcommittee issued a public reprimand to Fredericksburg lawyer Vernon Keeve Jr. for violating disciplinary rules that govern diligence, communication, safekeeping property, declining or terminating representation, and fairness to opposing party and counsel. The misconduct occurred during his representation of a client in a personal injury case. According to the VSB, this discipline was an agreed disposition of ethics charges against Keeve.
