We hate to miss obvious opportunities for expert commentary, especially when they’re right under our nose.
We wrote last year about legal battles over the burgeoning wine industry in what used to be known as Northern Virginia’s “horse country.” Who knew that Washington & Lee University had its own Wine Law Society?
According to this news release , the wine law scholars were scheduled to hear this evening from Richard P. Mendelson, an internationally-recognized expert on vineyard and wine law and related land use issues. The Napa Valley lawyer and winemaker apparently had to cancel, possibly because of the weather.
Undeterred, the legal oenophiles plan to forge ahead with a wine tasting beginning at 4:30 in the faculty lounge.
