Legislation to mandate insurance coverage for telemedicine services in Virginia won unanimous approval in the 2010 General Assembly. Gov. Bob McDonnell signed into law the measure that bars private health insurers from excluding coverage for long-distance health care. The legislation was trimmed from a 2009 version to apply only to telemedicine and not to “telehealth” services, ...
