Recent VLW coverage has ranged from “dog law” to the wreck of the Titanic. Now, these seemingly disparate tracks converge, as we note the “World’s First Tribute to the Dogs Onboard the Titanic.”
Promoted on a highway billboard outside Branson, Missouri, this special exhibit is part of “Titanic: World’s Largest Museum Attraction,” which opened in the Midwestern tourist Mecca in 2006. The attraction is housed inside a half-scale replica of the front half of the ship, according to RoadsideAmerica.com.
Tourists who make the trip before Dec. 1 will get to “hear true dog tales about Titanic’s First Class canines,” and “learn their owners’ fascinating stories,” according to the Branson Tourism Center’s website. Featured King Charles Spaniels Molly and Carter are “emissaries,” rather than canine “re-enactors.” Click here to view their personal Doggie Webcam.
