The Virginia State Bar and former president Jon D. Huddleston have received a national award for excellence in marketing.
The “Virginia Is for Good Lawyers” project that Huddleston developed during his tenure last year includes “The Big Picture,” a video project about the pro bono and civic work of individual lawyers, and “Reflections,” a collection of essays by judges and lawyers.
It received one of 16 Thomson Reuters Legal Luminary Awards presented to bar associations and their communications professionals for their work in marketing, public relations, regular publications, special publications, electronic publications and websites.
The projects are judged by the National Association of Bar Executives. One of the judges said of Huddlston’s project, “The template to help other bars is a nice service to provide all of us.”
