Del. Dave Albo, chairman of the House Courts of Justice Committee, has introduced House Bill 1459 to seal the deal that the Virginia Trial Lawyers and the Medical Society of Virginia reached to increase the cap on medical malpractice awards by $50,000 a year over the next 20 years.
