Norfolk-based Vandeventer Black LLP has opened a two-lawyer office in Pasadena, Calif.
Managing partner William E. Franczek said the firm has a major client on the East Coast that also has a West Coast operation and opened the office as a way to provide service to that firm and other clients with a West Coast presence.
The attorneys are Vickie V. Grasu and David V. Rose, both of whom moved from LeClairRyan’s Los Angeles office. They had joined LeClairRyan when the firm absorbed Wright, Robinson, Osthimer & Tatum in March 2008, and former Wright Robinson partners who had joined Vandeventer Black’s Richmond office in 2005 were familiar with them, Franczek said.
Grasu and Rose focus much of their practice on civil defense litigation. Rose also advises trade associations on antitrust issues and provides general corporate counsel services.
