Newport News student charged with using pepper spray (access required)

NEWPORT NEWS—A Newport News high school student has been charged with a felony after police say she allegedly used pepper spray on another student. Media outlets report the incident occurred last week in a hallway at Denbigh High School. Police said in a news release the two 15-year-old girls apparently were involved in an ongoing dispute.
