The plaintiff injured his wrist, neck and back when the defendant pulled out in front of him. The plaintiff was treated twice at a local emergency room within two weeks of the accident. After an eight-month gap in treatment, the plaintiff treated with a chiropractor. He continued to work full-time in a manual labor job and did not claim any lost wages. The plaintiff incurred medical bills of $2,082 prior to the gap in medical treatment and an additional $5,388 after the gap in treatment. State Farm’s highest offer was $9,000. The defendant died of causes unrelated to the accident and the defendant’s daughter represented the defendant at trial.
