CHARLOTTESVILLE (AP) A former University of Virginia law student convicted of breaking into the registrar’s office has avoided jail time. Joshua Peter Gomes, 26, was sentenced last Tuesday to 10 years of good behavior. Gomes pleaded guilty in August to breaking and entering.
