Reporter
Virginia Lawyers Media needs an experienced and versatile reporter to write for our award-winning flagship publication, Virginia Lawyers Weekly.
The reporter should have a keen interest in covering the law and courts and in following trends in the business and practice of law. The reporter will develop assigned statewide beats, develop sources throughout the state and originate story ideas.
The ideal candidate will have news judgment, curiosity and an understanding of the news and data needs of the legal market. Candidates to need know how to use social media and to think creatively about how to present information on the Web.
A college degree is required; prior journalistic experience is preferred. A law degree or other legal background is helpful. We offer competitive pay, excellent benefits and the freedom to make the most of this opportunity.
