Medical agency must pay attorney’s tab 
Hospital awarded legal fees in reimbursement case

The agency that administers Virginia’s Medicaid program has been ordered to pay nearly $70,000 for a hospital’s legal fees in a dispute over reimbursement for medical services.
The fee award followed rulings that held the Chesapeake hospital did not need to make more than $350,000 in reimbursements to the Department of Medical Assistance Services.
