Bravo to the Maryland police to use what they presently are allowed to use to find a rapist. If another man has been wrongly sitting in prison for that rape, I am sure he is delighted!
What should scare us more than police using Q-tips, is a state's Attorney General's office arguing that because someone is stopped by the police, that you are now in a "class" of people who "surrenders a substantial amount of liberty and privacy." Apparently, if the police suspect you of a possible crime, you lose rights. I thought you keep your rights, and the government is restricted in doing their job to the degree of having to honor your rights -- Constitutional and statutory.
