Governor Bob McDonnell has appointed Virginia Beach General District Judge Steven C. Frucci to the circuit court bench, filling the fourth of six circuit court positions left funded but unfilled by the General Assembly.
“Judge Frucci has served honorably on the Virginia Beach general District Court for serveral years. He has developed a reputation as a fair and respected jurist, and I am pleased he will take this tradition of service to the circuit court,” McDonnell said in a prepared statement.
Frucci was elected by the Assembly to the district court bench in 2009 after 18 years of private practice.
Still unfilled are funded circuit judgeships in Portsmouth and Norfolk.
