Courts still affected by snow

At least 12 Virginia courthouses remain closed Thursday for inclement weather, according to the list posted by the Supreme Court of Virginia.

The Norfolk and Newport News federal courthouses are closed Thursday because of the weather, according to the website of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. The hearing on Virginian’s ban on same-sex marriage, previously scheduled for Thursday, will be rescheduled in February, the court has said.

The federal court in Danville will open at 10 am today, according to the website of the U.S. District Court for the Western District.
