March snow snarls court schedules

The late winter ice and snow has caused some court schedule changes for Monday, March 3.

Federal courthouses in Richmond and Alexandria are closed Monday, according to the website for the Eastern District of Virginia.

The Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, and Lynchburg U.S. District Court offices are closed today, according to the Western District website.

Offices of the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond are closed on Monday, according to the court’s website.

The Fairfax County Circuit Court, General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court are closed on Monday according to the county’s website.

The Prince William County Courthouse is closed Monday, according to the county’s website.

The Virginia Beach courts are closed Monday, according to that city’s website.

The city of Richmond circuit court and the circuit court clerk’s office are closed Monday, according to the clerk’s page on the city’s website.

The administrative offices of the Supreme Court of Virginia and the offices of the Virginia State Bar are closed Monday, according to their websites.

During past weather events, other state court schedule changes have been posted on the state judicial system’s home page.
