The Community Associations Institute has elected Norfolk attorney Jeremy Moss chair of the CAI Virginia Legislative Action Committee. Moss had been serving as vice chair of the committee.
CAI provides resources to homeowners who govern community associations and the professionals who support them. The state Legislative Action Committee provides information to Virginia legislators and the public at large.
Moss’s mission for the committee includes the expansion of VALAC through the appointment of additional community association volunteer leaders to the committee and focus on education and outreach, according to a news release.
Moss became actively involved with VALAC in 2009 by providing legislative counseling and serving as a registered lobbyist for the committee until 2013, later being appointed as a delegate.
Moss is the second attorney from the Vandeventer Black law firm to chair the VALAC. Deborah Casey served from 2008 to 2011.
