The infant plaintiff was delivered, following a shoulder dystocia, with a severe brachial plexus injury, involving nerve avulsion at multiple levels.
The defendant obstetrician denied that she was present at the time of the delivery, but her denial was contradicted by the mother, two family members and the nurse’s notes.
