Influential Women of Virginia

Each May, Virginia Lawyers Media honors high-achieving women across the commonwealth with the Influential Women of Virginia awards. The awards recognize the outstanding efforts of women in all fields, including law, business, health care and education. The honors are given to individuals who are making notable contributions to their chosen professions, their communities and society at large. Their energy, ideas, achievements and commitment to excellence and progress give us a look to the future.

The 2013 class of Influential Women will be recognized on May 16, 2013 with an awards luncheon and presentation at the Richmond Marriott. Profiles of the honorees will be published in Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s “Influential Women of Virginia” magazine, which will be distributed at the event and inserted into the May 27 edition of the paper.

Leaders in the Law

Oct. 2013

In  October, Virginia Lawyers Weekly will honor the lawyers who are setting the standard for other lawyers with the Leaders in the Law awards program. We recognize attorneys and professionals in law-related fields who have a significant accomplishment or achievement.

These include:

• Outstanding contributions to the practice of law in Virginia.
• Significant achievements through the practice of law.
• Leadership in improving the justice system.
• Important contributions to Virginia’s legal community and/or the community at large.

The 2012 Class of Leaders in the Law was announced in mid-August. The honorees were recognized during an awards ceremony at the Science Museum of Virginia on Oct. 25, 2012. Profiles of the honorees were also featured in a special publication that was inserted into the Oct. 15, 2012 edition of Virginia Lawyers Weekly.
