Influential Women of Virginia

This May, Virginia Lawyers Media will honor high-achieving women across the commonwealth with the Influential Women of Virginia awards. The awards  recognize the outstanding efforts of women in all fields, including law, business, health care and education. The honors are given to individuals who are making notable contributions to their chosen professions, their communities and society at large. Their energy, ideas, achievements and commitment to excellence and progress give us a look to the future.

The 2012 class of Influential Women will be announced in mid-March. The honorees will be recognized on May 10, 2011 with an awards luncheon and presentation.

Profiles of the honorees will be published in Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s “Influential Women of Virginia” magazine, which will be inserted into the May 7 edition of the paper and distributed at the event.

Leaders in the Law

Oct. 2012

In  October, Virginia Lawyers Weekly will honor the lawyers who are setting the standard for other lawyers with the Leaders in the Law awards program. We recognize attorneys and professionals in law-related fields who have a significant accomplishment or achievement.

These include:

• Outstanding contributions to the practice of law in Virginia.
• Significant achievements through the practice of law.
• Leadership in improving the justice system.
• Important contributions to Virginia’s legal community and/or the community at large.

We will begin seeking nominations later this year. The 2012 honorees will be recognized during an awards ceremony in October.

Profiles of the honorees will also be featured in a special publication that will be inserted into the Oct. 15 edition of Virginia Lawyers Weekly.
