VSB Council: Make prosecuting UPL easier (access required)

CHARLOTTESVILLE—The Virginia State Bar Council has voted to ask the General Assembly to make it easier to prosecute criminal violations of the state law barring the unauthorized practice of law.

The Virginia Bar Association continues its drive to make the Virginia Rule of Law program part of curriculum of every Virginia middle school.
The VBA is working with the Virginia Law Foundation, which is offering 10 grants of $2,500 each to local bar associations that adopt the program.
