Eight lawyers from the labor and employment practice of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, including a co-chair of the practice area, have joined Hunton & Williams LLP.
Laura M. Franze, who practices from Dallas and Los Angeles, will co-chair Hunton’s labor and employment practice as well. Joining her are three other partners, one in Los Angeles and two who will open the firm’s first San Francisco office, and four associates, one in San Francisco and the other three in Dallas.
“We’re pretty irresistible,” Hunton chairman Thurston Moore said with a chuckle of the firm’s ability to attract such a high-profile group from another major law firm.
