Judge Coulter’s humor remembered

September 9th, 2008 · No Comments · Judges

briceRoanoke lawyers honored the memory of the late Circuit Judge Jack Coulter at a bar meeting Tuesday.  Both Circuit Judge Clifford R. Weckstein and retired District Judge James P. Brice (right) recalled Judge Coulter not only as a distinguished jurist, but also as “a man of good humor and fellowship.”

Weckstein said that Judge Coulter was “the only judge known to celebrate April Fool’s Day by strategically placing rubber snakes in courthouse flowerpots.  Annually.”
