Del. Terrie L. Suit, R-Virginia Beach, will leave the House of Delegates next month to take a lobbying job with Richmond-based Williams Mullen, reports the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
Suit (right) will work with the government relations team, headed by former Attorney General Jerry Kilgore. Under state law, Suit won’t be able to lobby her ex-colleagues for a year, but during that period she is expected to lobby the federal government and local jurisdictions in Hampton Roads.
Gov. Tim Kaine will call a special election to fill Suit’s seat.
