Vick lawyer wants mediator

October 3rd, 2008 · No Comments · Virginia Legal News Stories

Lawyers for Michael Vick have asked a federal bankruptcy judge to appoint a mediator to help settle his financial obligations with creditors.

As reported by the Associated Press, Judge Frank J. Santoro told a representative of several creditors to make sure mediation would be acceptable to them before he appoints a mediator.

If he makes it back to pro football, Michael Vick would be willing to hand over between one-fifth and one-third of his income to help settle his debts, according to The Virginian-Pilot.

The offer is part of a proposed repayment plan that Vick and his lawyers submitted this week in his bankruptcy case.
