Group helps felons get civil rights

January 13th, 2009 · 2 Comments · Virginia Legal News Stories

The Virginia Organizing Project is working to restore voting rights for felons who have served their time, according to the C-Ville Weekly.  One of the activists pushing for legislative reform says, under current law, an application for restoration of civil rights can be derailed by a simple speeding ticket.

i think that felons should be able to vote. i also believe that under no circumstances should a natural born citizen of the united states be deprived of their constitutional rights. its in the first ten that we all possess certain rights which can’t be taken.
