Los Angeles-based business litigation firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges is red-faced over its apparent disclosure of a confidential settlement amount in a firm brochure trumpeting its successes.
The inadvertant disclosure is particularly ironic because the firm went to some lengths to keep the settlement amount secret – even asking a judge to remove reporters from a hearing at one point, according to The Recorder, which has a link to the brochure.
The settlement resolved an infringement claim against social networking site Facebook. Quinn Emanuel now is battling with its client, which claims the settlement was inadequate.
