Goochland County leaders yesterday accepted the resignation of county attorney Andrew McRoberts and chose Barbara Rose as an interim replacement.
McRoberts declined to comment on the specific circumstances of his departure except to say that it was a mutual decision, reports the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
Rose was deputy county attorney in Hanover County for 15 years, until her retirement in 2005. She most recently worked as an interim attorney in Gloucester County.
