The Virginia State Bar has imposed a one-year suspension on the law license of Anne Marston Lynch, the Suffolk lawyer who was publicly castigated by the Virginia Court of Appeals for repeated lapses in the handling of a criminal appeal.
The Court of Appeals, in a Feb. 3 published order, disbarred Lynch indefinitely from practice before that court. On May 15, the VSB disciplinary board suspended Lynch’s license for one year and imposed unspecified terms.
VSB records indicate Lynch was accused of failing to follow through on criminal appeals in four cases and neglecting work on a real estate matter.
The VSB notes that Lynch, who had practiced at a Suffolk law firm, now has an address of record in Portsmouth.
