Lynchburg leaders announced they’ve raised enough money to restore the clock and bell at the city’s old courthouse, which is now a museum.
As the VLW Blog previously noted, the museum that now occupies the old courthouse building was trying to raise $20,000 to bring the 150-year-old piece of history back to life.
In a mere four months, the museum reached its goal. According to The News & Advance, 160 contributions were made to the clock-and-bell campaign. Individual donations ranged from as much as $1,000 to as little as 30 cents.

Any word on when the bell is gonna ring? Think it should be Nov. 3 which is election day for it is a new day for new leadership.
