Ten months after someone shot and injured Leesburg lawyer Todd Sanders as he worked late in his office, police say they’re still looking for the assailant.
A spokesman for the Leesburg police department said the investigation of the February incident is “very much ongoing.”
Sanders is a former Fairfax prosecutor who also worked for a time at the commonwealth’s attorney’s office in Loudoun County before beginning a private practice. Media accounts of the shooting at his office in historic Leesburg included speculation that a former criminal defendant might have been trying to exact vengeance.
Officers are still pursuing leads, said public information officer Chris Jones. “It’s not at all considered a cold investigation at this time,” Jones said.
Sanders denied any serious injury after the shooting.
