It may be just a tiff over dog poop left behind on a neighbor’s yard, but the case is going to a Fairfax County jury. Kimberly Zakrzewski stands accused of letting her four-legged friend, Baxter, leave his business behind at a condominium development.
Zakrzewski claims it wasn’t her. According to The Washington Post, the jury may be invited to study a photograph of the offending evidence and consider testimony about whether it could have come from Baxter.
In a sign of the times, future dog poop disputes could even involve DNA evidence, thanks to a new company established just to identify which beast left a calling card on a neighbor’s lawn.
Zakrzewski acknowledges the case must seem ridiculous to some, but she tells the paper she is spending $1,200 on her defense. She claims her accuser is motivated by spite.

Does Ms. Zakrzewski think spending $1,200 to mount a defense to anything in a Virginia Circuit Court let alone a jury trial there is a lot of money? Really?
