Judges’ chambers threatened by renovation plan

Tennessee judge cancels trial, claims courthouse is toxic

"It appears to be a toxic courthouse," Criminal Court Judge Lynn Brown said of the new Washington County (Tenn.) Justice Center, reports the Johnson City Press .   Workers at the gleaming facility in Johnson City have complained of coughing fits, burning eyes and runny noses.

City to finally move on Richmond courthouse

The Times-Dispatch has an article on its Web site about the much-delayed plan for getting the two criminal general district courtrooms out of the deteriorating Public Safety Building.
The plan now is to move them to a renovated Manchester Courthouse, with construction to begin in June and be completed in early 2010.
