Edmonds returns to VSB

He’s baaack!

Thomas A. Edmonds, the executive director of the Virginia State Bar for 19 years before retiring at the end of 2007, will rejoin the VSB in July, this time as a Bar Council member representing Henrico County. Edmonds and Roger T. Creager are unopposed for the vacancies created by the departure of Daniel L. Rosenthal and Rhysa G. South, who will complete the second of two three-year terms in June.

Incumbents Bruce T. Clark from the 16th Circuit and Joseph E. Wolfe from the 30th Circuit also are unopposed, as are Tracy A. Giles from the 23rd Circuit and Roy F. Evans Jr. from the 30th Circuit.

Seats are being contested in the 4th, 13th, 17th, 18th and 19th, with mail ballots due in the VSB’s offices by May 1. Bar officials expect to take a week after the deadline to tabulate the results.
