Fairfax Bar says ‘Viva Las Vegas’

This time of year, local bar groups are putting their shoulders to the wheel to help lawyers get their CLE hours.

The Fairfax Bar Association is doing its part with a three-day stay at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, set for Oct. 4-7.

The FBA flyer touts “Vegas – Not Business as Usual,” with “two days by the pool in a private cabana,” free craps lessons, line passes to Studio 54 and a discount for all spa services.

Oh, there also will be six hours CLE at some point, dealing with such generic topics as “Family Law & Mediation,” “Criminal/DUI,” “Trial Techniques & Courtroom Decorum,” and the always popular “Hot Topics,” this time in Employment Law.

“Sin City has something for everyone,” the FBA says, pending approval of the ethics hours promised by the bar group.
