Call it creative fundraising. The attorney who has had the “LAWHOO” Virginia license plate since the 1980s is willing to give it up for a good cause.
She will relinquish the rights to the plate to the highest online bidder and donate the money to the University of Virginia law school’s Public Interest Law Association (PILA).
You can submit a bid on eBay here. The only catch is that the high bidder will have to have the plate reissued in his or her name through DMV and pay the usual vanity plate fee.
