Greene County official charged with UPL

The commissioner of revenue in Greene County has been charged with practicing law without a license.

According to the Greene County Record, Larry Snow, 61, said that an elderly woman asked him for information on what she could do with her property. He told her what he knew. She described what she wanted and he typed it up. A county notary notarized the document.

On Nov. 10, he was arrested by a Virginia State Police agent and charged with UPL, a Class 1 misdemeanor. The police referred all questions to the Attorney General’s office. The case will be prosecuted by a Charlottesville deputy commonwealth’s attorney.
