Rosenthal beats incumbent for VSB Council seat

A Henrico County lawyer who wanted another tour of duty on the Virginia State Bar Council will get his wish, after defeating an incumbent representative.

Daniel L. Rosenthal, who previously served two three-year terms, will return to council after competing with the two incumbents who sought reelection, Thomas A. Edmonds and Roger T. Creager. Edmonds, a former executive director of the VSB, was reelected.

Henrico conducted its election by mail ballot. VSB Executive Director Karen A. Gould announced the results last week. Rosenthal was term-limited after his prior service; under council rules, no member may serve more than six consecutive years.

In the other mail-ballot election, in Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights, Graham C. Daniels prevailed over T. Duncan Minton Jr.

Lawyers in Hampton held a circuit meeting on April 12. Lesa J. Yeatts of the Hampton City Attorney’s Office was the successful candidate.
